Welcome berry season with the gorgeous Raspberry Gin Daisy in hand. @serendipitybysaralynn marries Empress 1908 with a deliciously sweet homemade raspberry syrup, fresh lemon juice, and grenadine. A summer must-have!
Raspberries, Lemon Slices & Fresh Mint
Shake gin, lemon juice, syrup* and grenadine in a cocktail shaker with ice. Once chilled, pour the cocktail in a rocks glass over fresh ice. Top with seltzer and garnish with raspberries, lemon & mint. *For the syrup, combine ½ cup water, ½ cup sugar and ½ cup fresh raspberries in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, then reduce to a simmer. Simmer on low for 10 minutes until the sugar is dissolved and the berries break down. Use the back of a wooden spoon to help break up the berries if needed. Remove the mixture from heat and allow it to cool at room temperature. Strain mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove any pulp and seeds. Enjoy!
